We hold that The Holy Bible is the inerrant and inspired Word Of God. It is the sole guide for our beliefs and life of faith.
We hold to the three historic Christian creeds: The Apostle's Creed, The Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed. We subscribe to the Lutheran Confessions as they are presented in The Book of Concord. All these we believe to be correct expositions of the Word of God.
We believe that Jesus Christ instituted the sacraments of Holy Baptism and the Sacrament of the Altar. Through Baptism we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, who gives us faith, forgiveness of sin, a new life in Christ, and eternal life. We believe that Christ is bodily present in, with, and under the bread and wine of the Sacrament of the Altar giving us the gift of the forgiveness of sin.
As Lutherans we believe that faith is given to us by Grace Alone. There is nothing in us which merits God's forgiveness nor anything which we can do to earn God's forgiveness. We believe that God's Word Alone is how we come to know who God is and what He has done on our behalf to save us and how we are to live our lives in light of His revelation of Jesus Christ. We believe that it is by Faith Alone that we can know and trust that God the Father has provided the only savior, His dear Son Jesus Christ, who saves us from our sin. We believe that Christ Alone has saved us by His life, death, resurrection, and ascension. All of this is a gift of God the Father which by our own reason would be unknowable or unattainable except that the Holy Spirit enlightens us.
